The Grove Natural Therapy Centre

About Us
The Grove first opened its doors in 1990. It was a collaboration between three local therapists, and one of the original partners, Barbara Deacon, is still the Director of the Centre. Barbara is also proud and delighted to have been a McTimoney Chiropractor for over 25 years, having been in practice since 1984.
The Grove is housed in a beautiful Victorian house which provides a secure and tranquil atmosphere for both our clients and the therapists working with us. For many years prior to 1990 the house was a happy family home and this, together with the 20+ years that we have been open, has created the feeling of peace and caring that so many of our clients comment on.
We continue to offer a wide range of therapies so that we can respond to physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs, since disturbance at any level may mean the whole person is affected, causing a feeling of dis-ease. We also believe that health should be seen as more than just the absence of symptoms.
RECEPTIONISTS
Your first contact with us will probably be with our receptionists. We are fortunate to have had a wonderful team of receptionists over the years and our current ones have been with us for some time.
ZENA FALLA: Zena has been with us since 1999 and our clients appreciate her calm, friendly and caring approach.
ANN SMITH: Ann started working with us in 2002, having been a client of the Centre since we opened in 1990. She too is friendly and will always do her best to help.

WENDY JOHNSON, REGISTERED CHIROPRACTOR When she was 19, Wendy suffered a whiplash injury. For another 19 years she suffered with this injury, until she visited a chiropractor. As she often comments, “the chiropractor was the first person who made me feel better”. It was this that inspired her to begin a career change from being a State Registered Nurse (SRN) to becoming a chiropractor. After five years of study, Wendy qualified as a McTimoney chiropractor (in 1999), and hasn’t looked back. Her 30 years as an SRN, alongside her common sense views, inform her chiropractic expertise. |
