The Grove first opened its doors in 1990. It was a collaboration between three local therapists, and one of the original partners, Barbara Deacon, is still the Director of the Centre. Barbara is also proud and delighted to have been a McTimoney Chiropractor for 30 years, having been in practice since 1984.
The Grove is housed in a beautiful Victorian house which provides a secure and tranquil atmosphere for both our clients and the therapists working with us. For many years prior to 1990 the house was a happy family home and this, together with the 25 years that we have been open, has created the feeling of peace and caring that so many of our clients comment on. We continue to offer a wide range of therapies so that we can respond to physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs, since disturbance at any level may mean the whole person is affected, causing a feeling of dis-ease. We also believe that health should be seen as more than just the absence of symptoms.
Your first contact with us will probably be with our receptionists. We are fortunate to have had a wonderful team of receptionists over the years and our current ones have been with us for some time.
ZENA FALLA: Zena has been with us since 1999 and our clients appreciate her calm, friendly and caring approach.
LIZ ROLES: Liz has recently joined us in March 2016 and is settling in well. Many of our clients have already commented on how friendly, efficient and approachable she is. Welcome Liz.

Claire works at a number of practices along the south coast, writes articles, gives talks and teaches both nutrition and iridology.
Although she has had years of experience in treating a wide range of health problems, she has a particular interest in the nutritional treatment of joint problems, chronic fatigue, digestive complaints and weight issues. All of her treatment programmes are individually designed to suit the needs of the client. Claire also works with Genova Diagnostics Laboratory to provide science based testing for a number of problems – adrenal, thyroid, digestive, female hormone, allergy/intolerance and heavy metal overload. By combining these testing methods with her natural treatment programmes, she aims to bring science and nature together to provide a holistic approach.
Claire also aims to incorporate the knowledge that she has gained over the years into her reflexology sessions, providing once again an all round holistic treatment for her clients.
